Workout for Saturday, 4 Jun

9:00am Saturday, at FitWit HQ ("The FitWit Factory")

Workout:

  • TGU to max single for both arms.
  • Front squat to 5-rep working set; 3 x 5 sets across.
We'll review the Turkish Get Up (TGU) and front squat (barbell)--the how and the why. If you're planning on coming to this workout, please do the following:
  1. Post to the comments below to let me know you are coming.
  2. Bring a notebook and a pen or pencil to the workout. This is a must, and you can expect to do burpees if you don't have a notebook and pen.
  3. Bring water.

  3. Yes, I will be there w/ bells on. A LOT of Decatur folk are interested based on this morning's convo . . . where are all the comments?

    Love TGU and need TONS of help on my front squat.

    Quick question: Do I have to do burpees if I bring an iPad instead?!? Not trying to be fancy (ok, maybe a little) . . . but I have an app for that? Don't know why I'll need it, but I guarantee you I have an app . . .

  6. Quick question - For this Saturday, is FitWit Strength at 9am or 9:30am? I've seen both times posted and just wanted to double check :) Either way, I will be there.

  7. Great question. I fudged it up. THIS Saturday only, the workout begins at 9am. NOT 9:30am. Sorry for the confusion.

  10. I will be there, sweaty from the VAHi 5k. But, I'll have to stop playing around 9:40 to prep for the nutrition talk at 10am. If someone else needs my spot, I'm happy to just observe Ben's coaching. I'll be coming straight over from the race regardless.
